Easy peasy lemon squeezy

Outfit Details:

dress - Forever 21, necklace - Forever 21, shoes - Joe Fresh, belt - H&M

When I first saw this dress on Lisa, I made it my quest to find it. The full skirt and high waist (perfect for short waisted me) has a lovely 50s ladylike feel, while the hem length and bold stripes add the perfect modern tough. I was fortunate enough to find it on a quick trip to Forever 21, and happily snatched it up. That was probably two months ago and it's been sitting in my closet ever since.

Ruh roh Shaggy.

This is most likely a sign that I have too much stuff in my closet! And of course, what did I go ahead and do yesterday? Order a crap load of shoes from Talbots. Yes, I'm rhetorically smacking myself on the head here. But... I do love the shoes I hauled. The heel strap on the back of the blush and blue pair had me swooning in front of my computer. I can see them being styled with a floaty ballerina style skirt, and the peep toes would be a great addition to my shoe closet for cool summer and warm spring/fall days.

Okay purchase justified! I will stop hitting myself on the head now.

You look fantastic in that fun and flirty dress! I was seriously tempted by the shoe sale too - but "luckily" the ones I wanted had my size sold out. Oh well!

Love the dress. Those shoes are really cute. And flats, for me, are always hard to pass up. I would totally snatch up those gray-ish blue ones.

No wonder you searched for this dress after seeing it. It is absolutely adorable! I love your awesome statement necklace too.

And the blush shoes are so cute! Definitely paired with a flowy ballerina skirt or dress.

I ordered a lot from Talbots too yesterday. Have you ever ordered from them before? I'm wondering how bad the duty charges will be?

Dude, Talbots has some really nice flats!! I love the first two pairs.

I find that when I buy something I really love, it sits in my closet while I wait for the perfect event to pop up. At least, that's what I tell myself so I don't have to stop shopping. ;D

The shape of that dress looks marvelous on you - it's like it was made for you! Yeah, Talbots madness hit yesterday. I resisted though because I just have too many shoes as is. I'm very proud, I have to say.

I loved this dress on Lisa - she looked so cute in it (and I think Kim has the same dress?). Anyway, you look just as adorable - nicely styled too. It looks really fresh with the blue belt!

Such a PERFECT dress. It reminds me of a Kate Spade dress, but at a much more palatable price. And I think the turquoise belt looks fantastic with it. And how pretty is your necklace?!

I adore that 50s style. This looks great. Yellow is a good color on you (this outfit and the one in the post beneath it).
