Inspiration

Outfit Details:

cardigan - U-Knit, top - Old Navy, skirt - Gap, boots - Frye, jacket - Gap

So I just might have stolen gotten inspiration for this outfit from Kendi Everyday. When I saw her wearing her combination a few weeks ago, I thought "Perfect! Love it... and will totally be stealing borrowing this". And then I filed it away for when it would be warm enough to wear bare legs and sandals.

Well people, guess what? We are at the end of April and it's still tights weather! I give up already... boots and tights instead of sandals it is.

I've had this sweater for years and bought it at a sample sale for about $15. Still, the cost per wear hasn't been great because the cardigan is too close to my skin tone and has the tendency to wash me out.  It has been tossed into the donate pile on more than one occasion, but continually gets pulled out at the last minute. I love that it has structure, yet is still a comfy knit. I think that wearing a white top underneath negates the wash out effect (that and a lot of blusher), so you'll likely be seeing this cardigan a lot more in the future.

Great outfit – and you make those boots look so amazing. I ordered and returned a pair of the extended calf Janes bc they seemed a smidge too wide for me. Not sure if I can stuff my calves into the regular ones though...am stalking them on eBay for a deal.

I love that skirt! I have it too but haven't worn it. It's too warm now where I am (greater DC area) to wear tights or boots, and I miss them both already!

I actually love the boots with this outfit! And I like how you got to use Kendi's outfit as an inspiration. The cardigan is close to your skin color, but I do think that you're onto something here with wearing white underneath it. It's like having an even paler color under it helps to lessen the skintone effect!

You look so stinkin' cute in this outfit! That skirt is fabulous; I adored it on Kendi and now I'm loving it on you, too. You look absolutely fabulous!

I really liked that cardigan on you when I first saw it. The details are pretty neat. Also, it got pretty warm for one day last week and I just remembered that I hate hot weather. I might be the only one, but I'm actually dreading the heat and humidity.

The outfit looks really good with the tights and boots. I'm sure you'll get to go bare legged soon...so don't give up!
Can I just say that I love the khaki green against the navy and red of the skirt - it's a great colour combo.

cute!! I remember seeing that skirt at the Gap for like $4, but not in my size! And I've seen it on Kendi. You styled it great!
