So this is a bit of a "duh, no really?", but it just occured to me this morning that I could set my camera to take multiple shots on timer. Now, instead of taking 2 minutes to take 5 shots, I can take 10 shots in about 30 seconds. It also gives me more time to play around with my poses. Instead of posing, taking a shot, and then reseting the timer, it's now pose, (click), pose, (click), pose... Well you get the idea.

The fact that I could do this whole session in such a short time kept the toddler from noticing that I was taking pictures. Usually Maya hijacks my camera mid-way through and makes me take photos of her posing by the fireplace. (Like mama, like daughter).

In response to my eureka moment, here are some gratuitious photos. I took ten shots, and managed to easily find four that I liked. Rather than edit, I figured I'd toss them all up on the blog today.

The fact that I'm having an amazing hair day probably helped matters greatly.

You look amazing all around. That green is beautiful, and I love it paired with the navy dress and boots. My camera is super not-fancy, so I can't do multiple shots but I finally figured out that if I put something (in my case a lamp) in the shot before I run over to get in the frame, it actually focuses correctly! Now I take 3 or 4 clear photos instead of 10-15 (mostly blurry) ones.

this is a great look- again a color I would never think to pair with navy and I love the way this whole look comes together. I may have to borrow it. :)

Beautiful!!! Very flattering lines, and the green color lights up your whole face. I can relate to the blogging-with-daughter-challeges, too. :)

You look amazing Theressa! Love that dress, it looks so pretty and floaty, is it really from Old Navy? And the green-navy-brown combo is wonderful. And lastly, you are wearing my favorite boots, the Frye Avas, yay :)

I wish my camera had the option to take multiple timed shots! It may have been fancy and cost as much as two fancy Anthropologie dresses, but it only has a 10s option which is incredibly inefficient for picture taking! I think I take like 10 minutes to get maaaybe 8 or 9 shots (of which like 3 are acceptable b/c I am bad at posing).

Utterly lovely. The brown boots are great with this color mix - they really warm things up.
